How the AI region check works

    1. Request AI platforms’ trace

These platforms are served by Cloudflare; each /cdn-cgi/trace returns the exit IP, country or region and data center it sees.

    2. Check the official lists

ChatGPT and Claude publish the countries and regions they support, and the result is marked against those lists; other platforms show the region only.

    3. Compare the platforms

When platforms see different regions, a proxy or VPN rule is sending them through different exits.

    Reading the result

    • Supported regionThe region seen is on the official supported list.
    • Not a supported regionThe region seen is not on the list; sign-up or use may be refused.
    • Supported platformsOf ChatGPT and Claude with a known region, how many are on the official list.

    Frequently asked questions

    What decides the supported regions?

The supported country and region lists published by OpenAI and Anthropic, as saved by this site. Whether a platform lets you in also depends on your account, payment method and other factors.

How does this differ from the Exit and Split Routing Test?

This page looks at AI platforms only and puts the support result first; the Exit and Split Routing Test compares the exits many domestic and international sites see, which suits checking routing rules.
